About Us
 We fabricate
structural steel items from ounces to 25 tons in 40,000 sq. ft. of
manufacturing area. Our sheet metal shop handles up to 1/4" shear
capacity, manufacturing electrical enclosures, machine guards and all types of sheet metal items from prototype to production runs. Our machine shop complements our structural department.
We also do complete mechanical assembly and testing, such as pressure and air checks, as well as painting in our complete painting facilities.
To facilitate delivery of your products, we have a crane capacity to 50 tons, and a fleet of trucks to assure prompt delivery. Our long list of satisfied customers is available to you for verification.

Our Company:
GMI is well rounded to help improve your products with design and cost-saving ideas. We are a completely mechanized welding and painting facility, oriented to serve you, our customer. GMI is located in Rocky Hill, Connecticut just off exit 23 on interstate 91. We cater to the commercial OEM and military markets. Our welders are all certified to AWS.D.1.1 welding specifications, and certifications are kept current at all times.
